Topic: What is the timetable for domesting (U.S.) drilling?
Any thoughts on what the realistic time tables are for extracting U.S. oil? I heard John McCain say on Hannity & Colmes today that he's been told that it could be two years... that's it.
Couldn't we 'borrow' against the strategic reserve if that were the case???
Also, McCain was talking about some alt fuel car called the Volt? Anyone know what that's about?

The Volt is in production but the infrastructure for recharging them is still years away. Plus, most cars would have to be recharged at night. Remember the California blackouts?
Releasing the SPR would be a good idea. We are currently at 97%. I think going down to 90% could help ease the prices at the pump. Evidentially the recent drop in oil hasn't translated to the pumps.
